The KEF Q6 Meta Centre Channel Speaker delivers clear dialogue, precise effects and a wide, cohesive front soundstage for premium home theatre systems. Its versatile design allows it to be used as a dedicated centre speaker or as part of a complete left, centre and right channel configuration.

Featuring KEF’s 12th-generation Uni-Q® Driver Array, Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT™) and dual 165 mm bass drivers, the Q6 Meta produces detailed vocals, controlled low frequencies and evenly dispersed sound throughout the listening area. It is designed to integrate seamlessly with other KEF Q Series speakers for a consistent and immersive surround sound experience.

Clear and Focused Dialogue

The centre channel reproduces much of the dialogue, vocals and on-screen action in a home cinema system. The KEF Q6 Meta is engineered to keep these important details clear and firmly positioned at the centre of the screen.

Its three-way speaker design separates the high, midrange and low frequencies between dedicated drivers. This helps voices remain natural and intelligible, even during busy film scenes with music, effects and deep bass occurring at the same time.

12th-Generation Uni-Q Driver Array

KEF’s signature Uni-Q technology places the tweeter at the acoustic centre of the midrange driver, allowing both drivers to behave more like a single point source.

This arrangement disperses sound more evenly across the room, creating a wider listening area and a more cohesive soundstage. Dialogue and effects remain focused and consistent, whether you are sitting directly in front of the speaker or elsewhere in the room.

Metamaterial Absorption Technology

The Q6 Meta incorporates KEF’s advanced Metamaterial Absorption Technology behind the tweeter. Its complex internal structure absorbs 99% of the unwanted sound produced behind the driver.

By reducing distortion and internal reflections, MAT helps the tweeter reproduce cleaner, smoother and more natural high frequencies. Subtle details are easier to hear, while loud film soundtracks remain refined and controlled.

Dedicated Three-Way Speaker Design

Unlike a conventional two-way centre speaker, the KEF Q6 Meta uses a dedicated three-way configuration consisting of:

• A 19 mm aluminium dome tweeter with MAT

• A 100 mm aluminium midrange driver

• Two 165 mm hybrid aluminium bass drivers

This configuration allows each driver to concentrate on a specific frequency range, improving clarity, definition and dynamic performance across movies, television, games and music.

Dual Bass Drivers

Two 165 mm hybrid aluminium bass drivers provide weight and impact for sound effects, music and deeper voices. The rigid aluminium construction helps the drivers move with greater accuracy, producing controlled bass with reduced distortion.

The closed-box cabinet design also supports precise low-frequency performance and makes the speaker easier to position within entertainment units or close to a wall.

Centre Channel or LCR Speaker

The Q6 Meta can be positioned horizontally as a traditional centre channel or vertically as a left or right front speaker.

This LCR flexibility makes it suitable for custom home theatre installations where three matching speakers are preferred across the front soundstage. Using identical Q6 Meta speakers for the left, centre and right channels can provide more consistent tonal character and smoother movement of sound across the screen.

Refined Crossover Technology

The Q6 Meta’s crossover was developed using more than 1,000 measurements conducted in an anechoic chamber. The crossover carefully directs each frequency to the appropriate driver, helping the speaker deliver a balanced and coherent presentation.

Designed for KEF Q Series Home Theatre Systems

The KEF Q6 Meta is designed to integrate with KEF Q Series bookshelf, floorstanding and surround speakers. It can also be paired with a compatible KEF subwoofer to create a powerful multichannel home cinema system.

Its matching acoustic design helps maintain consistent sound as dialogue, music and effects move between speakers.

Contemporary Cabinet Finishes

The Q6 Meta is available in Satin Black, Satin White and Walnut finishes. A colour-matched magnetic grille is included, providing driver protection without compromising the speaker’s clean, modern appearance.
