Today there are some great Home Theater receivers / amplifiers available, all of which provide good, basic room calibration and automated setups, where you can get good results.

Anthem, however, don’t care much for room calibration, they instead look at the basic setup as something we can all do. Anthem provide Room Correction, the ability to allow a sound system to work in any room optimally.

ARC is their technology, and it is seriously good. It runs software on your computer, then using a quality microphone, compiles a tune file which it uploads to your Anthem receiver.
