The KEF Ventura 6 Outdoor Speakers deliver clear, powerful sound across patios, pool areas, gardens, balconies and marine environments.

Designed for medium-to-large outdoor listening areas, each speaker combines a 160mm bass/midrange driver with a 25mm fluid-cooled aluminium tweeter in a sealed two-way enclosure.

Independent laboratory IP65 certification, marine-quality hardware and more than 1,200 hours of salt-spray testing allow the Ventura 6 to withstand demanding outdoor conditions while maintaining the sound quality expected from KEF.

Supplied as a pair, the Ventura 6 is suited to outdoor systems requiring more output and bass extension than conventional compact background speakers.

Two-Way Sealed Enclosure

Each Ventura 6 uses a two-way sealed-box design.

Unlike a bass-reflex speaker with an open port, the sealed enclosure helps protect the internal components against moisture, dust and other outdoor contaminants.

The enclosure is designed to deliver controlled, consistent performance while supporting the weather resistance required for exposed installations.

160mm Bass/Midrange Driver

A substantial 160mm or 6.5-inch low-frequency driver provides the scale and output needed for medium-to-large outdoor areas.

Outdoor environments lack the room boundaries that normally reinforce bass indoors. The larger driver helps the Ventura 6 maintain a fuller presentation across open spaces while delivering clear reproduction of vocals, instruments and rhythmic detail.

Fluid-Cooled Aluminium Tweeter

High frequencies are reproduced by a 25mm fluid-cooled aluminium tweeter.

This dedicated high-frequency driver is designed to deliver clean treble reproduction while handling the sustained output levels often required in outdoor listening environments.

The crossover operates at 3kHz, integrating the tweeter with the 160mm bass/midrange driver.

IP65-Certified Weather Resistance

The Ventura 6 has been independently laboratory tested and certified to IP65.

This rating confirms protection against:

• Dust ingress
• Rain and water spray
• Outdoor airborne particles
• Moisture encountered in exposed installations

IP65 certification does not mean the speaker should be submerged in water. Correct installation remains essential for maintaining long-term performance.

Salt-Spray Tested for Marine Environments

KEF has subjected the Ventura 6 to more than 1,200 hours of salt-spray testing.

This makes it suitable for demanding coastal and marine environments where ordinary indoor speakers may be affected by humidity and salt-laden air.

Wide Operating Temperature Range

The Ventura 6 is designed to operate across temperatures ranging from −40°C to +70°C.

Actual placement should still follow KEF’s installation guidance, particularly where the speakers may be exposed to direct sunlight, extreme weather or constant water contact.

Flexible Mounting System

An aluminium mounting bracket is supplied with the Ventura 6, allowing the speaker to be installed securely on a suitable wall or structural surface.

Integrated ¼-inch-20 threaded inserts provide additional mounting flexibility when used with compatible hardware.

The speaker measures:

• 300 × 226 × 219mm without its bracket
• 300 × 226 × 263.5mm with the bracket and adjustment knobs

The rotatable KEF logo allows the branding to remain correctly oriented when the speaker is installed horizontally or vertically.

90dB Sensitivity

With a rated sensitivity of 90dB, the Ventura 6 can produce substantial output without requiring an unusually powerful amplifier.

KEF recommends an amplifier rated between 10 and 125 watts per channel.

Amplifier suitability should also be assessed according to the number of speakers, intended listening volume, cable length and installation method.

6-Ohm Nominal Impedance

The Ventura 6 has a nominal impedance of 6 ohms, making it compatible with a broad range of conventional stereo amplifiers, AV receivers and supported multi-zone amplifiers.

When connecting multiple speaker pairs to one amplifier or zone, the resulting impedance load should be checked carefully to ensure it remains within the amplifier manufacturer’s specifications.

The KEF Ventura 6 is supplied as a stereo pair.
