All-Weather Sound for Patios, Pools and Gardens
The KEF Ventura 5 Outdoor Speakers bring detailed, room-filling sound to patios, pool areas, gardens, balconies and marine environments.
Each speaker combines a 130mm bass/midrange driver with a 25mm fluid-cooled aluminium tweeter in a weatherproof two-way sealed enclosure. The result is a compact outdoor speaker system suitable for both relaxed background listening and more energetic outdoor entertainment.
Independent laboratory IP65 certification, marine-quality construction and more than 1,200 hours of salt-spray testing help the Ventura 5 perform reliably in demanding Australian outdoor conditions.

Two-Way Sealed Enclosure
Each Ventura 5 uses a two-way sealed-box enclosure.
The absence of an open bass-reflex port helps protect the internal components against moisture, dust and airborne contaminants. This construction also supports controlled bass performance and predictable installation close to walls.
130mm Bass/Midrange Driver
A 130mm or 5.25-inch low-frequency driver reproduces bass and midrange frequencies.
The driver provides the output required for patios, balconies and general outdoor listening while keeping the cabinet compact enough for discreet wall mounting.
Its performance extends down to 60Hz, giving music greater depth and presence than smaller outdoor or portable speakers typically provide.
Fluid-Cooled Aluminium Tweeter
High frequencies are handled by a 25mm fluid-cooled aluminium tweeter.
This dedicated tweeter delivers clear reproduction of vocals and upper-frequency detail while supporting the continuous output often required in outdoor spaces.
A 3.8kHz crossover integrates the tweeter with the 130mm bass/midrange driver.
IP65-Certified Protection
The KEF Ventura 5 has been independently laboratory tested and certified to IP65.
This rating confirms protection against:

IP65 certification does not make the speaker suitable for immersion. It should not be installed where it may become submerged or continuously exposed to standing water.

This testing supports installation in coastal and marine environments where salt-laden air, humidity and changing weather can quickly affect conventional indoor speakers.

Wide Operating Temperature Range
The Ventura 5 is designed to operate across temperatures from −40°C to +70°C.
This broad operating range allows it to accommodate significant seasonal and daily temperature changes. Installation should nevertheless follow KEF’s instructions, particularly in locations exposed to direct sunlight or extreme weather.
Flexible Wall Mounting
An aluminium mounting bracket is supplied with each speaker, providing a secure installation on a suitable wall or structural surface.
Integrated ¼-inch-20 threaded inserts accommodate additional compatible mounting options.
The cabinet measures:
- 262 × 197 × 189mm without the bracket
- 262 × 197 × 235mm with the bracket and adjustment knobs
A rotatable KEF logo keeps the branding correctly oriented whether the speaker is mounted vertically or horizontally.
89dB Sensitivity
The Ventura 5 has a rated sensitivity of 89dB, allowing it to produce useful outdoor listening levels with a wide selection of amplifiers.
KEF recommends amplifier power between 10 and 100 watts per channel.
The appropriate amplifier will depend on the required volume, listening-area size, speaker-cable length and number of speakers connected to each zone.
6-Ohm Nominal Impedance
With a nominal impedance of 6 ohms, the Ventura 5 is compatible with many stereo amplifiers, AV receivers and multi-zone installation amplifiers.
If multiple speaker pairs will share one amplifier, the total impedance load and wiring configuration should be checked before installation.

The KEF Ventura 5 is supplied as a stereo pair.
