KUBE 8b MIE

KEF Kube 8 MIE Subwoofer

The KEF Kube 8 MIE is a compact 8-inch active subwoofer designed to deliver rich, controlled bass from a cabinet that fits comfortably into smaller rooms and modern living spaces. Although it is the most compact model in the Kube range, it is engineered to produce bass that feels full, dynamic and immersive for movies, music, television and gaming. KEF positions it as an ideal option for listeners who want powerful low-frequency support without the footprint of a larger subwoofer.

At the heart of the Kube 8 MIE is an 8-inch front-firing long-throw driver powered by a 300W RMS Class D amplifier. KEF states that this amplifier is shared with larger models in the range, helping the Kube 8 MIE achieve a high level of control and confident bass delivery despite its compact size. The sealed cabinet design also supports cleaner, tighter bass response and makes placement easier in a variety of room layouts.

The subwoofer also benefits from Music Integrity Engine® (MIE), KEF’s proprietary DSP platform, which helps each component of the system work together more effectively. According to KEF, features including iBX Intelligent Bass Extension are used to extend bass depth dynamically while maintaining precision at different listening levels. This makes the Kube 8 MIE a strong choice for buyers looking for a compact home theatre subwoofer, small room subwoofer, or sealed subwoofer for music and TV.

For easy system integration, the Kube 8 MIE includes RCA phono inputs, speaker-level inputs, and an expansion port for the KEF KW1 wireless adapter, giving users more flexibility with placement. It also offers three room position EQ options and multiple power modes, including Auto Wake Up, Always On, and 12V trigger, helping it adapt to different system types and room conditions. For anyone seeking deep bass from a compact KEF subwoofer, the Kube 8 MIE combines size-efficient design, flexible connectivity and solid low-frequency performance in a neat, understated enclosure.
