KUBE 12b MIE

KEF Kube 12 MIE Subwoofer

The KEF Kube 12 MIE is a powerful 12-inch active subwoofer built to deliver deep, room-filling bass for music, films, TV and gaming. As one of the larger models in the Kube range, it is designed for listeners who want stronger low-frequency impact and greater scale while still benefiting from a cabinet that is clean, modern and easy to place in contemporary spaces. KEF positions it as an excellent option for larger rooms and dedicated home theatre environments.

At its core, the Kube 12 MIE features a 12-inch front-firing long-throw driver housed in a sealed cabinet and powered by a 300W RMS Class-D amplifier. KEF says this combination is engineered to produce richer, more powerful bass with impressive depth and dynamic capability. The large cone area and high excursion help the subwoofer generate higher output at lower frequencies, while the sealed cabinet supports tighter response and more flexible placement in real-world rooms.

The Kube 12 MIE also incorporates Music Integrity Engine® (MIE), KEF’s proprietary DSP platform, which is designed to ensure the subwoofer’s components work together in harmony. KEF notes that features such as iBX Intelligent Bass Extension help provide deeper and more precise bass at a wide range of listening levels. For buyers searching for a 12-inch sealed subwoofer, home theatre subwoofer for larger rooms, or KEF subwoofer for music and gaming, the Kube 12 MIE offers a strong blend of scale, control and bass optimisation.

Connectivity is designed to be flexible, with RCA phono sockets, speaker-level inputs, and an expansion port for the optional KW1 wireless adapter. It also offers three room position EQ options and multiple operating modes including Auto Wake Up, Always On, and 12V trigger, helping it adapt to different room layouts and system types. For anyone wanting a high-performance KEF subwoofer with substantial bass weight and straightforward integration, the Kube 12 MIE is a compelling step up within the Kube range.
