Overview
The R_volution PlayerPro 8K TV (RVR012) is a media player that combines local file playback with Android TV streaming apps in one full-width chassis. It uses two Amlogic processors (S928X-K/J for media playback and S905X4-K for Android TV), a TCXO clock and an internal linear power supply with a toroidal transformer. It includes R_volution's R_video media centre software, a hidden dual hard drive bay for up to 64 TB of internal storage, dual HDMI outputs and dual HDMI inputs.

Streaming Apps
The PlayerPro 8K TV runs Android TV with Widevine L1 DRM. R_volution lists access to services including Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Apple TV, Max, Paramount+, YouTube, BBC, ARTE, Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer, Spotify and more, with additional apps from Google Play. R_volution notes that 4K, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support depends on each service, its app and your region.
Storage and Connectivity
- Hidden dual 3.5" SATA hard drive bay, up to 32 TB per drive (64 TB total). Hard drives not included
- Drives can be formatted from the player. Supported file systems include NTFS, exFAT, EXT2/3/4, FAT32 and BTRFS (HFS/HFS+ read only)
- R_video manages content across internal drives, USB drives and NAS (SMB) storage
- SMB client and server, so other R_volution players or computers can access the internal drives
- R_volution rates file transfers at up to 90 MB/s over SATA, USB 3.0 and Ethernet
- Dual HDMI 2.1 inputs act as a two-source HDMI switch
