Denon HEOS Drive HS2 Multi-Zone Amplifier
Four-Zone Audio from One Chassis
The Denon HEOS Drive HS2 is a professional four-zone network amplifier designed for whole-home audio and custom installation systems.
Eight channels of Class D amplification provide 60 watts per channel into 8 ohms, allowing the HEOS Drive HS2 to power four independent stereo zones from one compact 2RU chassis. Each room can play its own audio or be grouped with other HEOS zones for synchronised playback.
Eight Channels of Class D Power
The HEOS Drive HS2 delivers 8 × 60 watts into 8 ohms with all channels driven.
Its efficient Class D amplifier design provides the power needed for installed speakers while keeping the chassis compact enough for a standard equipment rack. The amplifier is also compatible with 4-ohm speakers.
Four Independent Audio Zones
Each of the four zones can be controlled independently through the HEOS app.
Play different music in separate rooms, group selected areas or synchronise all four zones for whole-home listening. Individual zone controls include volume, balance, bass, treble and output configuration.
High-Power Bridge Mode
Selected amplifier channels can be bridged when additional output is required.
Bridge mode provides up to 130 watts per channel, making the HEOS Drive HS2 flexible enough to support more demanding speakers or specialised installation requirements.
HEOS Multi-Room Streaming
Built-in HEOS technology provides access to compatible music streaming services, internet radio, networked computers, NAS libraries, mobile devices and USB storage.
The HEOS app allows users to select sources, manage rooms, create groups and control playback from a compatible smartphone or tablet. Streaming-service availability and subscriptions vary by region.
Extensive Source Connectivity
The HEOS Drive HS2 provides multiple connections for integrating local audio equipment into a distributed system.
Four stereo analogue inputs accommodate traditional audio sources, while two optical and two coaxial digital inputs connect compatible televisions, media players and other digital components. Connected sources can be played locally or shared with other compatible HEOS devices across the network.
Dolby Digital Support
Built-in Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus decoding allows compatible digital television and video sources to be downmixed for stereo playback.
This makes it easier to distribute television sound through installed speakers without requiring a separate decoder for each zone.
Pre-Out and Subwoofer Connections
Each zone includes stereo pre-amplifier outputs for connection to an external power amplifier.
Subwoofer outputs allow up to four powered subwoofers to be integrated across the system. Adjustable high-pass and low-pass filters help installers configure the speakers and subwoofers for each room.
Four USB Inputs
A dedicated USB port is provided for every zone.
Compatible USB storage devices can be used to access local music collections, with stored content available for playback through the HEOS Drive HS2 or other compatible HEOS players on the same network.
Built for Custom Installation
The 2RU chassis includes removable rack ears for installation in a standard equipment rack.
Dual Ethernet ports provide reliable wired networking and allow another compatible network device to be connected without requiring an additional nearby network switch. The HEOS Drive HS2 requires a wired network connection and does not connect directly to Wi-Fi.
