DELA C1 SFP+ Direct Attach Cable
High-Speed SFP+ Cable for Network Audio
The DELA C1 SFP+ Direct Attach Cable is an audio-specific network cable designed to connect compatible SFP and SFP+ components without separate optical transceivers or RJ45 conversion.
Supporting network speeds up to 10Gbps, the C1 uses four solid-core, silver-plated oxygen-free copper conductors and precision-fitting gold-plated SFP module housings.
Its direct copper architecture provides a straightforward connection for compatible DELA network switches, music servers and other SFP-enabled audio components positioned within two metres of each other.
Direct SFP+ Connection
The C1 is a Direct Attach Cable, commonly known as a DAC cable.
Each end has an integrated SFP+ module, allowing two compatible SFP or SFP+ ports to connect directly. No separate optical modules, fibre cable or RJ45 adaptors are required.
This direct architecture avoids the additional optical encoding and decoding required by fibre connections, providing a simple point-to-point network link between compatible components.
Supports Network Speeds up to 10Gbps
The DELA C1 supports 10Gbps SFP+ connections, making it suitable for high-bandwidth network audio and music-server installations.
It may also be used with compatible DELA equipment operating its SFP ports at 1Gbps, provided both connected devices and their port settings support the same network speed.
The connection speed must match at both ends. Communication may not be possible if one device is configured for 1Gbps and the other operates only at 10Gbps.
Silver-Plated OFC Conductors
The C1 incorporates four internal conductors manufactured from solid-core, silver-plated oxygen-free copper.
This specialised conductor construction reflects DELA’s focus on creating network accessories specifically for premium digital audio systems.
Because the conductors are solid rather than stranded, the C1 is less flexible than a conventional Ethernet patch cable and should be installed without tight bends.
Gold-Plated SFP Module Housings
Both integrated SFP modules feature distinctive gold-plated housings.
The robust module design provides a secure fit within compatible SFP and SFP+ ports while clearly distinguishing the C1 from conventional computer-network direct-attach cables.
Flexible Mesh Outer Sleeve
A woven mesh outer covering gives the C1 a refined appearance that complements premium Hi-Fi components.
Compared with a conventional vinyl surface, the mesh sleeve is less adhesive and less prone to tangling with neighbouring power, USB and Ethernet cables.
Designed for Short Connections
The DELA C1 is available exclusively in a 2-metre length.
Its solid-core conductor architecture is optimised for short connections between nearby network components. It is not intended for long-distance network runs or installations requiring repeated tight bends.

Important Installation Information
The C1’s solid-core construction makes it less flexible than an ordinary Ethernet cable.
Avoid:
- Tight bends
- Twisting the cable
- Placing heavy equipment on the cable
- Pulling the cable by its module housing
- Forcing the connector into an incompatible port
