The WiiM CI MOD A80 is a high-performance stereo streaming amplifier purpose-built for custom installation, whole-home audio and smart-home integration.

Combining a TI TPA3255 Class D amplifier with an ESS ES9018K2M SABRE DAC, the CI MOD A80 delivers 60 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 120 watts per channel into 4 ohms while integrating high-resolution streaming, HDMI ARC, analogue and optical inputs, subwoofer output and advanced multi-room control in one compact, rack-friendly component.

Whether powering in-ceiling speakers throughout a home, architectural speakers in a dedicated zone or conventional bookshelf and floorstanding loudspeakers, the CI MOD A80 provides installers with a flexible combination of amplification, streaming and system control.

Designed Specifically for Custom Installation

The CI MOD A80 takes the core streaming and amplification technology associated with WiiM and packages it for professionally installed systems.

Its compact chassis is designed for rack and cabinet installations, with mounting brackets supplied for integration into custom AV environments. Multiple CI MOD A80 amplifiers can be deployed across a project to create independent or synchronised audio zones without requiring a large conventional amplifier for every room.

At the heart of the CI MOD A80 is a TI TPA3255 Class D amplifier engineered to deliver substantial power from a compact chassis.

The CI MOD A80 incorporates an ESS ES9018K2M SABRE DAC, providing high-quality digital-to-analogue conversion for streamed and connected digital sources.

Combined with WiiM's digital processing and amplification architecture, the DAC helps maintain low noise and distortion while preserving detail throughout the signal path. The system supports high-resolution playback at up to 24-bit/192kHz with gapless playback for compatible content.

HDMI ARC for TV Integration

An integrated HDMI ARC input allows the CI MOD A80 to become the audio hub for a television zone.

Connect a compatible TV and the amplifier can drive a pair of passive speakers for significantly more capable television audio without requiring a separate AV receiver.

Add a powered subwoofer through the dedicated subwoofer output and the CI MOD A80 can form the heart of a streamlined 2.1-channel entertainment system.

Analogue & Optical Inputs

The CI MOD A80 is designed to accommodate more than network streaming.

Physical inputs include:

The optical input supports digital audio up to 24-bit/192kHz. Analogue sources such as a CD player, media player or turntable with a built-in or external phono preamplifier can also be incorporated into the system.

USB Music Playback & Distribution

A USB connection allows compatible storage devices containing music libraries to be integrated into the WiiM environment.

The CI MOD A80 can index compatible USB media and make the library available for playback, providing another useful source option for installations built around locally stored music rather than relying entirely on cloud streaming.

Dedicated Subwoofer Output

A dedicated subwoofer pre-output allows a powered subwoofer to be added to the system.

WiiM's bass-management tools allow the crossover between the main speakers and subwoofer to be adjusted to suit the speakers, room and installation.

This makes the MOD A80 suitable for both conventional stereo systems and compact 2.1 installations requiring greater low-frequency extension.

Wireless connectivity also includes Bluetooth 5.3 with A2DP and AVRCP support and SBC/AAC codecs.

Bluetooth provides a convenient direct playback option while WiiM's network streaming platform remains available for higher-resolution and multi-room listening.
