About the Strato E
Strato E Movie Player
Kaleidescape’s new entry-level 4K movie player. Providing lossless audio and reference-quality 4K video output, Strato E works on its own or as part of a larger Kaleidescape system. Available for residential, marine and commercial theatres.
- Entry-level movie player with 4K video output.
- Lossless spatial audio. Clear dialog and immersive sound effects.
- Reference video for every 4K display. SDR, HDR10, and Dolby Vision.
- Standalone. Includes 480GB terabyte solid-state storage.
- Scalable. Add a server for more movies on demand and more players for whole-house entertainment.
On the Go
Strato E makes it easy to enjoy your Kaleidescape movies at home, on vacation, or bring movie night to your friends and family.
Visionary
Uncompromising picture quality. Strato E plays 4K movies in standard dynamic range, HDR10, and Dolby Vision with superb upscaling of HD and SD quality content to 4K resolution.
Lossless Audio
Strato movie players provide lossless audio, maximizing sound quality with a range of downstream components. Strato supports multichannel and spatial audio codecs including Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, DTS:X, and DTS-HD Master Audio. Kaleidescape’s lossless audio makes your processor, amplifiers, and speakers sound the way the director intended. The dialogue is clearer, and every subtle sound and rumble draws you deeper into the story.
Downloaded, Not Streamed
Movie bitrates up to 100 Mbps. Kaleidescape movies are high bitrate and downloaded to local storage for uninterrupted, flawless playback. There is never buffering or degradation, unlike streaming services that are limited by internet infrastructure.
Kaleidescape movies are also unconstrained by file size limits, enabling our content team to maximize the video quality transcoded from studio mezzanine files, unlike Blu-ray discs that have a maximum file size limit.
Standalone
Kaleidescape’s entry-level 4K movie player. When standalone, Strato E stores about a half-dozen high-bitrate movies on an internal, solid-state drive. Strato E features the same streamlined interface as Strato V and Strato M, optimized for navigating a small movie library. Strato E can download a Kaleidescape movie in minutes over gigabit Ethernet. Downloads become a candidate for automatic deletion 48 hours after playback, making room for more movies. Purchased movies can be re-downloaded at any time.
Scalable
An investment that grows with you. Want room for more movies or players in additional rooms? Unlock the full Kaleidescape experience by grouping Strato with Terra Prime movie servers. Add Strato V or Strato E to primary viewing areas and Strato M to ancillary spaces, like kitchens or bedrooms. Any number of Strato movie players can be grouped into a system, with up to four servers per system. Grouping with a server activates the iconic Kaleidescape covers view and list menus for navigating large movie libraries. It also unlocks Kaleidescape’s parental control settings and proprietary child remote, for a customizable family-friendly experience.
Installation Made Easy
Strato E can easily be tucked behind a TV or placed on a shelf. For a more customized installation, official Kaleidescape rack shelves and wall mount solutions are available.
Cinema design
Part of something bigger.
The Strato E is one piece of a room. We design the screen, speakers, acoustics and seating around it, then install and calibrate the lot, so it all works as one.
