Overview
The AudioQuest Irish Red is a subwoofer cable with RCA plugs at each end and grounding spades. It is sold as a single cable. AudioQuest builds it with solid 0.5% silver-plated copper conductors in a Symmetrical Coax Geometry.
Key features
- Solid conductors of 0.5% silver-plated copper
- Symmetrical Coax Geometry, with identical positive and negative conductors so the shield is not used as an audio conductor
- Foamed-polyethylene insulation with a high air content
- Metal-layer Noise-Dissipation, AudioQuest's design that absorbs and reflects RF noise before it reaches the layer attached to ground
- Cold-welded, gold-plated RCA terminations, plus grounding spades
