Njord Cinemascope is designed to deliver a calm, uniform image, ideal for large screens and high ambient light environments. Inheriting the excellence of Njord, Njord Cinemascope distinguishes itself with a high-capacity 2.37:1 aspect ratio DLP engine. This innovative design allows cinemascope films to be displayed without the need for an anamorphic lens. The light source and optical engine have been completely redesigned, making them smaller, more efficient, and optimized for perfect cinematic colors, surpassing the older Wodan model.

Cinemascope Technology

Barco Residential employs a unique aspect ratio management system called Cropping in our cinemascope projectors. When paired with a supported control system, this minimizes user interaction when selecting aspect ratios for the projector and screen.

Prospector Web Interface

Barco’s web interface, Prospector, offers quick and easy configuration and calibration of Pulse projectors, along with monitoring and diagnostic tools. Prospector is available in all Pulse-based products.

Advanced Illumination

Njord Cinemascope features a unique blue laser phosphor light engine developed by Barco. Blue lasers are selected for their high density and power efficiency.

Warp & Blend Technology

Warping digitally manipulates an image to compensate for alignment distortions, while blending allows multiple projectors to seamlessly combine, creating unique digital canvas solutions.

RealColor Management

RealColor is Barco's proprietary color management system, enabling simple and accurate calibration to your desired color gamut or white point.

DynaBlack Contrast Enhancement

DynaBlack is Barco’s dynamic contrast enhancement feature that analyzes each frame on the fly and adjusts contrast dynamically for dark and bright scenes.

Single Step Processing (SSP™)

Our Pulse platform simplifies the signal, allowing it to transmit from source to screen faster and more efficiently. Advanced image processing techniques ensure images are displayed without artifacts and with minimal processing lag (<20ms with all image processing), achieved through Single Step Processing (SSP™).

State-of-the-Art Electronics

Njord CS features new Pulse electronics designed to process 4K with HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2. The optical engine uses the latest 0.9" DMD DLP chipset, delivering 5,120 x 2,160 pixels to the screen. It also supports HDR, motorized lenses, and Barco’s RealColor processing for accurate calibration to any color standard or white point.

Modular Design for Easy Servicing

Njord Cinemascope offers 5K UHD resolution (5,120 x 2,160) for superb image quality. Its modular design, consisting of only five building blocks, makes Njord CS easy to service. It is the most compact and rugged cinemascope projector available, offering 9,000 lumens of light output.

Advanced Laser Light Source

Njord CS is equipped with a new laser engine, significantly improving image uniformity (95%) over its predecessor. Custom-selected lasers ensure the delivery of a DCI/P3 color gamut. Lasers last longer than traditional projector lamps, are less fragile, and provide nearly instant on/off functionality.
