Designed to Perform

R610 Music Console delivers aesthetic appeal seldom seen among hi-fi components and this same devotion to detail is matched within. Powering R610 is a modern switch mode power supply, providing optimised powerlines to the system’s motherboard and latest generation digital amplifiers. With Burr-Brown DACs and audio grade components used throughout and a nominal output of 75 watts per channel, R610 is controlled and dynamic – but most importantly, it delivers a delightfully natural sound that makes music thoroughly enjoyable.

You’re in Control

Our RotoDial controller has been a distinctive part of our products since 2006. For 100 Series we have refined its design further and with tactile soft touch buttons and a precisely weighted control dial, it makes operating R610 a delight. Enhancing the operating experience is the crisp 5" TFT display which confirms every command, as well as showing album and station artwork in perfect clarity. Also included is a matching rechargeable remote. Bluetooth connectivity means that aiming is not required, so you can relax and fully control R610 from afar.

R610 provides all the connectivity you are ever likely to need, and with its powerful CPU it can process the highest quality audio streams. With Internet Radio, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple AirPlay and Google Cast all built in, a world of music awaits to be discovered.

R610 also makes it easy to rediscover treasured physical music formats. A quality phono stage makes it simple to connect a turntable, while for CD playback we have our own compact disc player called R-CD100 which integrates seamlessly with R610 via the USB-C connector on the rear. Last but not least, R610’s HDMI ARC/eARC connection provides a great sound solution for those seeking a system that also elevates TV and film enjoyment to a new level.

Sabre Heritage

For over 40 years our ethos has always been to design products that we ourselves would be proud to own. It was our founders shared passion for sound that led son Alan, and father Brian O’Rourke to form Ruark Acoustics and launch their first loudspeaker called Sabre to great acclaim in 1985. Our latest Sabre-R speakers bring us full circle to continue this mission, with a speaker that like our original, customers will enjoy for many years to come.

Made to Be Seen

In true Ruark style, our attention to detail is paramount and the Sabre-R Bookshelf Speakers are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the ear. Hand-crafted and clad with finishes usually only found on fine furniture, the Sabre-Rs bring understated elegance to both classic and contemporary interiors. The veneers used also have true eco credentials, where sustainable woods are skillfully spliced and recomposed to resemble slow-growing hardwoods with unique and eye-catching grain patterns.

Designed for Sound

Creating a great sounding speaker is an art that can only be mastered through years of experience. Like a chef who can make your taste buds dance, the key is knowing the ingredients to use and how to best use them. The cabinets for Sabre-R have been carefully tuned and optimised to provide ideal working conditions for our custom long-throw bass-mid drivers and endless hours have been spent fine tuning the crossovers, so a seamless transition between the drivers is attained. The end result are speakers with a remarkable musical performance that breathe zest and life into every song.

driver at all volume levels with headroom to spare, although soft clipping and protection is built in should the system ever be overloaded to avoid damage. Setup and adjustment is straightforward and with its auto-on/ standby feature, RS1 will automatically turn itself on
and off as required.

The enjoyment of music is at the core of any Ruark design, and RS1 is not about thunderous, overblown bass, but about deep, controlled, and most importantly, musical, sound. To achieve this, the enclosure and custom drivers have been optimised and tuned to provide natural extended bass, that is fast and rhythmic. Driving the system is a powerful 100 watt Class D amplifier. This new generation amplifier keeps firm control of the bass.
