The Musical Fidelity M5xi is a high-performance integrated stereo amplifier designed for listeners who want effortless power, exceptional control and a truly engaging music experience. Drawing on engineering principles from Musical Fidelity’s flagship TITAN amplifier platform, the M5xi combines a refined fully analogue preamplifier, powerful dual-mono amplification and modern digital connectivity in one beautifully built component.
Delivering up to 160 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 240 watts per channel into 4 ohms, the M5xi has the current delivery and headroom needed to confidently drive demanding floorstanding or bookshelf speakers. Its advanced low-distortion amplifier stage delivers impressive dynamics, controlled bass, clear midrange detail and a wide, stable soundstage, even at higher listening levels.
The M5xi is built for both analogue and digital music systems. Four RCA line-level inputs support traditional source components, while the upgraded MM/MC phono stage provides a high-quality connection for turntables using either moving magnet or moving coil cartridges. Improved shielding and internal layout reduce interference and noise, helping vinyl playback retain its warmth, depth and fine musical detail.
For contemporary systems, the M5xi includes HDMI eARC, optical and coaxial digital inputs, plus a USB-C input supporting high-resolution audio up to 24-bit/192kHz. This makes it an excellent centrepiece for a premium stereo system that also handles TV audio, music streaming and digital sources with ease. A dedicated isolated 5V/2A USB-A output can power a compatible music streamer directly from the amplifier, reducing cable clutter and simplifying system setup.
The amplifier also features home theatre bypass for easy integration with an AV processor, pre-outs for active subwoofers or external power amplification, fixed line outputs for recording or headphone amplifiers, trigger connections and RS232 control for custom installations.
Finished with a substantial aluminium front panel and rigid metal chassis, the Musical Fidelity M5xi offers the build quality, flexibility and musical authority expected from a true high-end integrated amplifier.
