The Musical Fidelity M6xi is a high-end integrated stereo amplifier created for music lovers who want commanding power, refined detail and genuine system flexibility. Building on the acclaimed M6 platform, the M6xi combines a fully analogue preamplifier with two independent monobloc power amplifier sections, modern digital inputs and a high-quality MM/MC phono stage.
With 220 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 320 watts per channel into 4 ohms, the M6xi has the power, current delivery and dynamic headroom to drive demanding loudspeakers with confidence. Its discrete amplifier design is derived from Musical Fidelity’s flagship TITAN power amplifier, delivering controlled bass, expansive dynamics, precise stereo imaging and effortless musical authority across the full frequency range.
The M6xi is engineered as a separate preamplifier and dual monobloc power amplifier system within one rigid aluminium chassis. Its low-distortion Darlington output stage, carefully optimised circuit layout and analogue power supply design help preserve detail and tonal accuracy while minimising unwanted noise and interference.
For vinyl enthusiasts, the integrated MM and MC phono stage has been upgraded with improved shielding, component layout and circuit optimisation. This helps deliver lower noise, greater transparency and a more revealing playback experience from compatible turntables and cartridges.
Modern connectivity makes the M6xi equally suited to contemporary audio systems. HDMI eARC allows premium stereo sound from your TV, while optical, coaxial and USB-C digital inputs support high-resolution playback up to 24-bit/192kHz. The amplifier also includes four RCA line inputs, one balanced XLR input, home theatre bypass, pre-outs for active subwoofers or external power amplifiers, and fixed line outputs for a headphone amplifier or recording device.
A dedicated isolated 5V/2A USB-A power output can supply clean power to a compatible music streamer, helping simplify system setup while reducing the need for an additional power supply. RS232 and trigger connectivity make the M6xi an excellent option for custom-installed and advanced hi-fi systems.
