Overview
The Krix Phoenix Evara is a slim 2-way floor standing speaker from Krix's Evara range, designed and made in Australia. It uses a D'Appolito layout with two 165 mm (6½") woofers either side of a 26 mm dual concentric tweeter, finished in Krix's matt Studio colours.
The Phoenix Evara is sold as a pair and comes in five finishes: Studio Black, Studio White, Studio Charcoal, Studio Navy and Studio Green.
Design and Construction
- D'Appolito 2-way layout: the tweeter sits between the two woofers.
- Woofers: dual nominal 165 mm (6½") laminated polypropylene cones with 33 mm (1¼") voice coils on aluminium formers.
- Tweeter: 26 mm (1") dual concentric diaphragm with a wave-guide centre plug.
- Cabinet: bass reflex with internal X bracing and a rear vent.
- Terminals: dual binding posts, bi-wire and bi-amp capable.
- Australian made: Krix has engineered and built speakers in Australia since 1974.
