The DELA C100 Ethernet Cable is purpose-built for network audio systems, providing a carefully engineered RJ45 connection between compatible music servers, network streamers, switches, routers and other Ethernet-enabled Hi-Fi components.

Its audio-focused construction combines solid-core oxygen-free copper conductors, double shielding and an asymmetric grounding design intended to reduce the possibility of ground loops. Asymmetric Grounding Design

The C100 uses an asymmetric shield-grounding configuration intended to reduce the risk of ground loops between connected network devices.

The shield is connected at only one end—the connector marked with the DELA logo—while the shield at the unmarked end is left floating.

Although the internal wire specification is equivalent to Category 7, the complete cable is designed as a Category 6A UTP Ethernet cable.

Solid-Core OFC Conductors

The internal conductors are manufactured from solid-core oxygen-free copper.

This carefully selected conductor material forms the foundation of the C100’s network connection and reflects DELA’s focus on components intended specifically for high-quality digital audio systems.

Double-Shielded Construction

A double-shielding structure helps protect the cable from external electrical interference and alien crosstalk, also known as ANEXT.

DELA combines this shielding with a flexible overall construction, allowing the C100 to be routed behind equipment and through audio racks without excessive stiffness.

Gold-Plated Shielded RJ45 Plugs

The C100 uses dedicated shielded RJ45 connectors with unusually substantial gold plating.

According to DELA, the gold-plated shield is approximately three times thicker than conventional plating. The contact surface extends across the sides and rear of the connector to create a broader contact area with the connected equipment’s shield.

This connector design supports a secure and durable network connection.

Durable Connector Latch

Each RJ45 plug incorporates a latch manufactured from a newly selected material designed to resist breakage.

This is particularly useful in audio systems where cables may be disconnected during equipment upgrades, system adjustments or component comparisons.

Flexible Mesh Outer Sleeve

A woven mesh outer covering gives the C100 a refined appearance suitable for premium audio systems.

Compared with a conventional vinyl surface, the mesh sleeve is less adhesive and less likely to catch or tangle with neighbouring cables. This makes it easier to route within tightly arranged equipment cabinets and Hi-Fi racks.
