The DELA E100 is an audiophile-grade 8TB USB hard drive designed for high-resolution music storage and playback.

Developed using the specialised storage technology found in DELA’s premium music libraries, the E100 provides a streamlined storage solution for compatible music servers, Roon servers, audio computers and digital playback systems.

Unlike a conventional desktop hard drive, the E100 features a carefully selected internal drive, rigid aluminium chassis, highly stable mounting system, dedicated power circuitry and precision NDK clock. Highly Stable Storage System

DELA’s proprietary Highly Stable Storage System securely supports the internal hard-drive mechanism.

This specialised drive mount is designed to provide greater mechanical stability than a conventional external drive enclosure. Combined with the E100’s substantial chassis, it helps control unwanted movement and vibration during operation.

Rigid Aluminium Chassis

The E100 features a hairline-finished aluminium exterior designed to complement premium audio equipment.

A 2mm-thick under-chassis increases structural rigidity, while the unit’s approximately 3.6kg weight provides a more substantial and stable platform than a typical consumer USB hard drive.

Its half-width enclosure also coordinates visually with other compact DELA components, including the D100 Optical Disc Drive.

High-Grade NDK Clock

A precision clock manufactured by NDK forms part of the E100’s dedicated digital architecture.

DELA uses a higher-grade NDK clock than that fitted to previous versions, supporting stable timing within the E100’s USB data-transfer circuitry.

Dedicated Power-Supply Circuitry

Rather than relying on USB bus power, the E100 uses its own external power supply and a dedicated internal printed circuit board.

This upgraded board incorporates carefully selected capacitors for the power-supply section, delivering stable power to the internal drive and supporting electronics.

The supplied universal power adaptor accepts 100–240V AC at 50/60Hz, making the E100 suitable for use in Australia and other supported regions with the appropriate mains lead.

Mac and Windows Compatible Formatting

The E100 is supplied preformatted in exFAT, allowing it to be recognised by compatible Windows and macOS computers without requiring immediate reformatting.

This cross-platform compatibility makes it easier to:

This additional connection supports flexible integration when the E100 is used with compatible DELA equipment and digital audio components.
