Even when streaming via Roon or other platforms, the app displays real-time track information. It also provides full access to every hardware setting, redefining how an audio device should be operated.

PCM Resampling & DSD Conversion

The MS-1’s advanced asynchronous resampling and DSD conversion engine improves detail, reduces jitter, and allows conversion of all audio into DSD, delivering richer sound and greater density. Users can fine-tune PCM and DSD conversion settings for personalised sound.

IIS-LVDS Digital Output

As a high-end digital audio transport, the MS-1 outputs high-resolution signals through the IIS-LVDS port, including signals from analogue and phono inputs. This flexibility allows seamless connection with external DACs for customised listening.

The MS-1P version features dual line inputs (XLR and RCA) plus a dedicated phono input supporting MM and MC cartridges. With a high-precision ADC, analogue signals are digitised for seamless integration, processed with PCM filters, and output through IIS-LVDS for unmatched versatility.

Precision Preamplifier with Balanced Outputs

The MS-1 Pre integrates a high-gain preamplifier with dual balanced outputs and a resistor array volume control. This ensures distortion-free performance, channel consistency, and seamless integration with amplifiers or active speakers.

Dual AKM DAC Chip Design

The MS-1 is Matrix Audio’s first product to feature dual AK4191 and AK4499 D/A converters, arranged in a dual-mono layout for improved channel separation, dynamic range, and ultra-precise sound reproduction.

Equipped with an ultra-low jitter DPLL clock synthesis circuit (45fs), the MS-1 delivers impeccable timing accuracy. Audiophiles can also connect a 10MHz external clock for even greater precision.
