The C-3900S is Accuphase's statement preamplifier, released October 2025, and it represents the summit of the company's long campaign against the variable resistor. AAVA became Balanced AAVA, which became Dual Balanced AAVA, and the C-3900S runs Dual Balanced AAVA with ANCC noise cancelling. This is volume control taken as far as Accuphase currently knows how to take it, in a chassis built to match.
