At the heart of the KC62 is KEF’s patented Uni-Core® technology, which rethinks the traditional force-cancelling subwoofer layout. By combining the two drivers within a single magnet system, KEF reduces cabinet size while increasing excursion and maintaining precise control. The result is a compact sealed subwoofer that delivers impressive depth, speed and output from an enclosure roughly the size of a football. Twin 6.5-inch force-cancelling drivers are powered by 1000W RMS Class D amplification, giving the KC62 the authority to reproduce demanding bass effects with clarity and impact.
The KC62 is also designed for flexibility in real-world rooms. Five Room Placement Equalisation presets help maintain balanced performance whether the subwoofer is placed in free space, close to a wall, in a corner, inside cabinetry or in apartment mode. KEF also includes SmartConnect, speaker-level inputs, RCA phono connections, and a line output with high-pass filter, helping the KC62 integrate neatly with a wide variety of audio systems. It is also compatible with the KW1 wireless adapter for easier placement.
To improve bass precision, the KC62 uses technologies including P-Flex surround and Smart Distortion Control, working alongside KEF’s Music Integrity Engine to reduce distortion and keep bass clean, controlled and detailed.
