A high-speed 64-bit floating point DSP handles the filtering, and available cutoff points have expanded from 59 to 3,101, with attenuation slopes as steep as 96 dB per octave. A time delay function allows alignment in 0.5 cm steps, and a delay compensator automatically corrects for delays introduced by the filter circuits.
